Inflammation? Know How Much Sugar Your Coffee Has

Did I ever tell you about the time I dropped my one day old brand new IPad AND cracked the screen? 🤭. I did not know what was happening to my body but I no longer had any type of grip — at all! It would take several more months until I found out that my body was attacking itself with the autoimmune disease of Rheumatoid Arthritis. _When I began my fitness journey and began learning about food, I wanted to know about reducing inflammation. So here today is my third post regarding reducing sugar in our diets. 👍_So far we’ve covered prioritizing your sweets and saying no to soda. Today we cover knowing how much sugar is in your coffee or going easy on those coffee concoctions! 🍮_Did you know a medium pumpkin spice latte from one popular coffee house has more than 12 teaspoons of sugar 😲 and 420 calories; a medium frozen mocha swirl from another chain contains about 35 teaspoons of sugar and 730 calories. That’s right — in one drink. 🤦‍♀️_Some flavored syrups are all sugar. Unsweetened tea and coffee ☕️ are your healthiest options, but if you prefer flavor, consider the syrups made with non-nutritive sweeteners._Something to think about especially if you are living with inflammation. I was able to return the iPad for a new one and since the diet changes, my inflammation markers are below normal and I haven’t dropped an iPad since. 🙌 #reduceinflammation, #inflammationfighter, #rheumatoidarthritiswarrior, #reclaimingmylife, #reclaimingpatty, #wlstories, #persistent, #fitover55
