2018 Highlight of the Year

My children ❤️ science. My boys are especially interested in space exploration. They’ve been told there are careers that aren’t even invented—like an insurance underwriter for space travel. 🚀 🌎 ☄️_Well that’s how I feel about my 2018. I accomplished goals that on January 1, I hadn’t even thought of yet. All I knew on Jan 1 was weight loss had not been the “golden ticket” 🎫 to happiness and I needed to work on getting my joy back. _However, during that process I accomplished things I never, ever thought possible. I was 57. I kind of thought my best days were behind me. 🤷‍♀️ Not so, my friend, not so! _My number 1 highlight of the year was doing the thing that brought me great joy as a child and teenager—swimming and competing. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ I traveled alone (which is a miracle within itself if you knew how much anxiety I had had in my life) to St. George, Ut. I put on a competition swim suit (even though I’m still not under 200 pounds) and I swam one of the most difficult events (the 400 IM) AND I completed it without getting disqualified AND I qualified for Nationals June 2019. 🥇 _It is still a pretty indescribable moment! I can now say with confidence I believe the best years of my life are ahead of me! 🙌_Yes I believe you should set goals (even resolutions- if you’d like), but what is going to be even more exciting for you is to look back on Dec 31, 2019 and say Wow! Look at all I accomplished this year! What a year we’ve had and what a year we can look forward to. 💥#divinginto2019,
